![]() Can someone tell me first, why the pop-up problem occurred and now why Avast is still on my system after uninstall and now with no way of uninstalling it? I could not get the pop-up to go away however. I just had a problem where I got a pop-up message from Avast saying that it had detected a trojan and moved it to the virus chest. Upon rebooting, I discovered that Avast was still on my system and functioning normally. After Uninstall, Avast No Longer Shows Up As Installed But Is Still Running. ![]() On the Mac, just drag the OOo icon from the Application folder to the Trash icon. If you installed through another method (an RPM, or a Debian package), using the appropriate package removal tool is best. I then re-booted the system to make sure that the uninstall had been completed. On Windows, you can use the Add/Remove Programs option in the Control Panel. I uninstalled it using Revo Uninstaller which is my go-to uninstall program and it confirmed that I had deleted all of the registry keys and files and that the uninstall was complete. Please pick a 64bit variant from the dropdown if your system supports it. Automatic uninstaller did not work for me and had to do manual uninstall recently. Don't miss to download the new release and find out yourself. The Document Foundation doesnt provide 32bit binaries for Linux for 6.3.0 anymore. At the bottom of that page is a link to instructions for manual uninstall, which also contains a list of the registry keys: Tip: If the Office uninstall tool doesnt completely uninstall Office from your PC, you can try to manually uninstall Office. I finally decided that the only way I could get the pop-up to disappear was to uninstall Avast and reinstall it. : The Apache OpenOffice project announces the official release of version 4.1.10. After numerous attempts (and regardless of whatever I tried with Avast), including setting it to silent mode, the pop-up kept reappearing. ![]()
